I am now offering a Low D Wooden Flute of my own design. It is made in three parts, and will play in 2+ octaves. This one is made out of Padauk, a vivid red colored hardwood (that will darken with time).
The fundamental note is round and full in timbre quality, being "compressed" while not airy. The intonation is precise across the second octave.
The bottom holes (RH) are not far apart, allowing for a comfortable hand position, not requiring the pipers grip (at least not an agressive one).
The top cap (removable) is made of Rosewood.
It is 61cm in length.
