Handmade of Phyllostachys Bamboo, this is a Low A Transverse Flute, tuned in a Minor Pentatonic Scale. This Flute has the same scale of the Shakuhachi, even though this is NOT a Shakuhachi.
It has 4 holes and will play in 1,5 octaves. The space between holes is 72mm (bottom hand) and 59m (top hand), this being optimally played by skipping the middle finger of both hands.
Total size is around 71 cm (but please note that this varies a bit given the irregular nature of bamboo)
Even though it is a big flute with a deep, transporting sound, it is still relatively easy to play for small handed people, like myself :)
