This is an exotic sounding transverse flute made out of a very special piece of cured Phyllostachys bamboo (73 cm or 27.5 inches). It is composed of a Kokin-Akebono scale in the key of low G# (G#3).
This flute has 5 holes and its disposition is very comfortable even for unexperienced players. It will play loud and clear in 1 octave plus two notes.
The hole sizes are around 8-10 mm.
It has a nice transporting voice, and it is a nice option for meditation or improvising sessions, since this is a very melodic and intuitive scale to play.
It also has dark oriental bindings to ensure material's integrity. This interior was protected with almonds oil and the exterior with beeswax.
