Handmade out of a carefully selected long internode bamboo species, this is a D Major Transverse flute, optimized for playing western Folk Music.
It has a Boxwood lip plate and offset 1st and 4th holes (for RIGHT HANDED players).
The embouchure cut is so that it enhances the partial harmonics, thus resulting in a reedy, complex tone, that is easily obtained.
The flute was fire treated and finished with Linseed oil and Shellac.
Its total length is around 55-57 cm
