This is a handcrafted flute made out of Phyllostachys aurea bamboo (~510x 35mm).

This is a deep sounding transverse bamboo flute tuned in the arabian "Hijaz - kar" scale tunedto the key of low D(A = 440H
It will play the following notes:
D, D#, F#, G, A, A#, C# in 1,5 octaves.

This flute was fire treated and fully carved to mimic dragon scales. The exterior was protected with a mixture of beeswax and sunflower oil and the interior with linseed oil.

Please note that this is a natural piece! It is guaranteed to be crooked, irregular, and have signs of spontaneous wear from growing up with other shoots, also known as poetry! :)
