This is a handmade bamboo flute tuned to the Raga Todi mode, in the key of F, A 440.
It was made out of Phyllostachys bamboo (~45 cm) and vintage african mahogany.
This melodic and transporting raga will be a great platform for improvising, given the fact that any fingering combination will produce a meaningful melodic piece. It is a great meditative flute.
This particular Northern indian sounding scale will transport you to the East! While being slighlty enigmatic, it is quite similar to the western Minor Harmonic and the arabian Hijaz scales.
The bamboo was protected with beeswax and sweet almonds oil.
