This is a unique sounding Transverse Bamboo Flute, handmade out of carefully selected Long-internode species of bamboo, with dramatic natural marks. It is tuned to a Traditional Japanese Melodic Mode, the Iwato.
It is 67 cm long (26.3 inches).
Despite its big size, this is a very intuitive flute to play, being suitable both for experienced players and beginners. With 4 holes, it will play in 1,5 octaves.
It's full, soothing sound will transport you to a serene, Japanese landscape. It may be a nice meditation companion, or be used in guided sound baths.
