This is an exotic sounding transverse flute made out of phyllostachys aurea bamboo.
It has a rich, bassy, deep "airy" tone tuned to Low G, ideal for meditation sessions. It will play well in 1 and a half octaves. It has a japanese inspired "kokin - akebono" scale, a mixture between the Kokin and the akebono scales. This is a very melodic one, and will make any improvisation meaningful.
It has four holes, with 8-11 mm in diameter. Although this is a quite big flute, it is suitable for beginners since it does not require a lot of stretching! :)
It also has black waxed thread bindings.
