This is a Low D Bamboo Flute inspired by the Irish Flute. Handmade out of a carfully selected long-internode bamboo, the inside is conical, making for a great octave tuning and compressed timbre. It will play in two full octaves plus a few notes in the 3rd octave.
The Lip Plate was also made out of bamboo to improve volume.
With a total size of around 58cm (22.83 inches), this flute is a great option for those who already play the Irish flute and are willing to try a new sound color :) It is also available for other kinds of music, although the beginner might need a little practice with stretching (which is, nevertheless, pretty modest for a flute of this kind.
The Flute was finished with Shellac, beeswax and linseed oil.
