I am now offering a D Flute, made in three parts, with short foot.

This is a hide bore, conical design, with elements of the well-known English Flutes archetypes, with a few modifications (compared to a Pratten, for instance, it has smaller RH holes).

Embouchure is oval. It has a potent while rich sound, and good intonation.

It is a nice option for Irish Trad and Folk Music.

I also offer an optional tuning slide (Stainless steel), as well as Nickel Silver rings as an extra. The tuning slide will always include 2 rings where the head joint and tuning barrel meet by default (check the photos).

Currently, I have a stable stock of African Blackwood, Mopane and Pau Rosa (Bobgunnia Fistuloides). Other woods might or might not be available (Boxwood, Amazon Rosewood or Olive wood). Please contact me to check availability.

The time I will need to prepare this flute is a bit longer than normal. Current Estimate is around 10 days, but may vary depending on my work load and materials availability. Feel free to write me to rui@soprosrg.com
