These are two low - deep sounding bamboo flutes, resembling the traditional Bansuri.
Both are tuned using Pythagorian-A temperament in Major scales: a low D and a low C.
They were made out of Phyllostachys Aurea bamboo.
Both will play loud and clearly in two octaves.
Flutes‘ dimensions:
-Low D:
length: 54,5
holes sizes (starting from the bottom, in mm):
9, 10, 8, 9, 10, 9
- Low C:
length: 59cm
9, 12, 9, 9, 10, 9
Both were lightly fire treated and protected with beeswax and sweet almonds oil and have traditional dark bindings on it.
